Melghat (comprising of Chikhaldara and Dharni taluka), Amravati
Melghat notorious for malnutrition and child death is also infamous for poor quality of education. To provide opportunity to childrens of melghat, Shishyakul targets quality education along with vocational trainings for self-employment of Youth. In a serene and green environment of melghat where tribal culture of Korku,Gond resides, there is need for education in Korku dialect for the preservation and promotion of tribal culture.And also at the same time making the children able to compete in outer world by providing a good foundation on English language, Marathi and Hindi language.
This project will be divided in to 3 part.
Part 1:-
This will consist of a CBSE Board English Medium school and will run on basis of learning by doing and then understanding it. This will work as a dream school in which every child wants to learn. Some well known experts in education field and devoted teachers will be sharing their thoughts here with the students. Teacher will help the children to choose their way of learning and evolving a process of learning , unique for each child.
And this will be added by study of agriculture techniques, other basic vocational training and an atmosphere for encouraging physical health as well.
Part 2:-
This will consist of a unit in which already learned unemployed youths of the korkuland will learn various occupational training and making of crafts. This will help them to start self employment and sustain their livelihood. Now-a-days many korku students are learning but due to poor quality education , they cannot compete with outer world. and hence more and more literate unemployed youths are seen doing nothing in villages. The scenario can be greatly changed if they start working with the available natural resources , and start self employment. Need is just to give them a way of doing this. And we can bring a far greater impact in their life.
Both these projects will start independently but will be intermingled to some extent.
Part 3:
Will consist of a Multi-disciplinary Holistic hospital. It will serve the local people for their health. Along with it , it will also help the locals with training programme on health , prevention of diseases and identification of local medicinal plants and their uses. The hospital will also serve as a means of study of common ailments, diseases, dressing, first aid to school children making each one of them our health messenger in their respective village.
The hospital will start within 2 years.
Support Needed for : Developing infrastructure, Training programs, Nature’s laboratory, education and vocational training machinery.
Monthly Annually ( year 2013-14)
1) Building cost for school (pre-primary) :- --------- 300000/-
2) Material Cost for School (Furniture, etc) :- -------- 50000/-
3) Routine stationery :- 2000/- 24000/-
4) Staff Payments :- 50000/- 600000/-
5) Computer, printer, xerox, internet,etc :- 10000/- 120000/-
6) School Bus :- --------- 700000/-
